Community OutreachUHZ Sports Medicine Institute and Doctors Hospital are longtime leaders in medical outreach in the South Florida community. We have worked with numerous sports teams, universities, high schools and other organizations involved in athletics. Our doctors and athletic trainers give physicals to high school students, clearing them to participate in sports. We cover amateur and professional athletes’ medical needs during practices, at games and competitions. We handle their injuries from the moment they occur; medical treatment may include surgery and full rehabilitation. From golf tournaments to the Special Olympics, from running races to international tennis events, UHZ and Doctors Hospital are at the forefront of taking care of sports participants and athletes in South Florida.
